The gem of Nyala Valley Game Reserve lies 15km from the coastal town of Port Alfred (between East London and Port Elizabeth).
After entering the main gate you start to descend into the valley below, viewing the Kleinemonde West River as it winds its way through to the coast, rocky krantzes on the opposite side, and patches of riverine indigenous forests along the river banks making it an interesting opportunity to observe these evergreen forests canopies, thick with very old yellowwood trees.
Here you can sit and listen to the different birds, as well as view the Nyala, Zebra, Kudu, Impala, Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Waterbuck on the grasslands, and Giraffe!
